Alaskan Thunder Fuck (ATF) is a legendary cannabis strain born beside the tall mountains of the Matanuska and Susitna Valleys. Also known as Matanuska Thunder Fuck (MTF) or Matanuska Tundra, ATF is a hybrid strain that was originally known as the Trapper Creek Hash Plant, paying homage to Trapper Creek, the location where it was first bred by a grower known only as Tiny. Thought to have disappeared along with Tiny following a police raid, Alaskan Thunder Fuck came back onto the map in 2020 when an Alaskan grower and friend of Tiny revealed he'd kept ATF clones alive in his closet since the 1980s.
Alaskan Thunder Fuck is rumoured to be a pleasure to grow, partly due to its strong genetics and unique growing traits. According to growers, Alaskan Thunder Fuck grows extremely large leaves with up to 13 fingers and the ability to grow small “fangs” that emerge from the centre of the fan leaves. ATF responds well to training, can be grown indoors and outside, and develops fat buds with a thick coating of aromatic and potent resin.
